Íslenskt sveppatal. Checklist of Icelandic fungi. 1, Microfungi

Abstract

Í þessari skrá er getið þeirra slímsveppa, eggsveppa, kytrusveppa, oksveppa, asksveppa sem ekki mynda fléttur, vankynsveppa auk ryðsveppa- og sótsveppa úr fylkingu kólfsveppa, alls 1531 tegundar, sem heimildir geta um að fundist hafi á Íslandi eða sýni eru til af í grasasöfnum. Af þessum tegundum eru 48 taldar vafasamar og ólíklegt að hafi fundist hér í raun og veru. Aðrar 165 tegundir eru sumar ógildar þar sem þeim hefur ekki verið formlega lýst á réttan hátt, greining annarra til tegundar er ekki örugg og að lokum eru þó nokkrar sem bera nöfn sem ekki hafa verið notuð síðustu áratugina. Þá eru eftir 1318 tegundir sem nokkuð öruggt er að fundist hafa hérlendis fram til ársloka 2002.

Hverri tegund fylgja tilvísanir í heimildir þar sem hennar er getið og nöfn, bæði samheiti og misnefni, sem tegundin gekk undir í heimildunum, en stundum skammstöfun þess grasasafns sem hana geymir. Um mismunandi afbrigði eða form tegundar er fjallað sérstaklega. Þá er getið þekktra hýsla eða undirlags tegundar sem og þekktrar útbreiðslu hennar á Íslandi og tíðni á útbreiðslusvæðinu metin. Skrá fylgir um tegundir á hverjum hýsli, undirlagi eða beitu og aftast er nafnaskrá. Einnig er í stuttu máli rakin saga svepparannsókna hérlendis bæði almennt og einstakra sveppahópa.

This is a list of the Myxomycota, Oomycota, Chytridiomycota, Zygomycota, Ascomycota (non-lichenized), anamorphic fungi and Basidiomycota pro parte (Urediniomycetes & Ustilaginomycetes) which have been recorded in Iceland, a total of 1531 species. Of those, 48 are considered doubtful records and unlikely that those species have been found in Iceland, 165 species either have illegal names, confused names, are not confidently identified or their names do not appear to have been used over the last decades. Thus 1318 species have been recorded in Iceland to the end of the year 2002. For each of the 1531 species treated herein references are cited with synonyms or misapplied names of the species and its host species or substrata, its known distribution within Iceland and its estimated frequency within that area follows. Different varieties or forms of the same species are treated separately. A list of fungi on each host species, type of substrate or bait was compiled and a list of fungal names. A brief account of research on Icelandic fungi in general and on individual groups of fungi is given.
