dc.description.abstract This report describes a different approach for an existing district heating system project in Beijing. The project is one of the largest geothermal space heating systems in China at present, designed as a centralized heating centre to supply the total heating requirement for a specific area established in 2002. In this report, a new improved approach with separated decentralized substations is discussed in order to make an economic comparative analysis to guide further development. is
