Útdráttur: The Greater Olkaria geothermal system in Kenya is located within the Olkaria central volcanic complex in the central sector of the Kenya Rift Valley, to the south of Lake Naivasha and 120 km from Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. Olkaria is a high temperature geothermal system, with aquifer temperatures between 200 °C and 340 °C. A total of 102 deep wells have been drilled in the area, ranging in depth from 500 to 2800 m.
